Just to let you know we are now aiming to make the film available on DVD in January 2012. This will initially most probably be in the UK and Europe but we’ll add more information here and on the facebook page as soon as its available!

.. I thought the film was powerful and it should be actually part of medical curricula in medical schools in the US” – Dr Montoya.
Can’t tell you how happy I am to be able to write this, but we just found out this morning that we won the “Audience Favourite International Documentary Award” for Voices from the Shadows (thats quite a mouthful!) A huge thanks to everyone at Mill Valley and all those who have been to see the film and voted for us – it is fantastic news for the film and for me personally it’s massive!!
As a side update – Im still working on tidying up and prepping a master copy as we work towards a general release, I’m afraid life just sometimes gets in the way! That said though we’ll get news to you as soon as we have it!
Thanks
Josh
Invest in ME are hosting screenings of Voices from the Shadows in Norwich on Dec.2nd and in London on Dec. 7th.
These will be evening long events with an introduction, a screening of the film followed by discussions with invited guest speakers and refreshments. These are important events, being not only an opportunity to watch the film but also to hear more about the current situation in the UK and moves to improve the shocking state of affairs that the film reveals. It is a chance for those who can make a real impact to learn more about ME and the plight of patients and carers, and is also an occasion when those of us who care about the situation can get together. The panel discussion will be followed by refreshments – a chance to meet with others in a similar situation.
More information on the London screening is available here
More information on the Norwich screening is available here

The International Association for CFS/ME Biennial Conference in Ottawa, Canada – September 22-25 will be hosting a special sneak preview of Voices from the Shadows. This is a big four day conference and attendees are primarily biomedical and behavioral professionals, including clinicians, researchers, and educators from all over the world. This will be a wonderful opportunity when professionals, some of whom may never actually meet severe ME patients, can discover more about the illness and the consequences of using research criteria which are overly inclusive.
